How do I shop online?

What happens when I place an order online?
If you provided a valid e-mail address during the purchase process, you will receive an e-mail message shortly after you make a purchase confirming your online order, shipment method, and the total amount to be charged to your credit card. Please note that we authorize the amount of the order when you place the order to validate your credit card, your credit card is charged within 3 days of placing the order. In the event that the product availability changes after the credit card have been charged, you will receive a refund in full for the unavailable product.
Can I order by phone?
Sure! We’d be happy to take your order by phone. NZ customers call us at 03-3658065, or 0212224567 Monday – Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM EST & Saturday & Sunday 10 AM – 5 PM EST. Chat hours are open on Facebook from Monday – Friday from 9 AM to 10 PM EST & Saturday & Sunday 10 AM – 5 PM EST. At other times, please leave a message with your name, phone number and time of day when you can be reached. If you can mention the style and size you are interested in, this will help us to respond faster to your needs.
Do you have a catalogue?
Leather Direct does not offer a catalogue. All of our styles can be viewed and ordered on our website or in-store.
What are the lengths of your dresses?
Most of our long dresses are 57″ long unless otherwise specified in the size chart. Most of our short dresses are 33” long unless otherwise specified in the size chart.
What is the fabric of your dresses?
If you need further clarification on dress fabrics that are not listed in the product description on the catalogue page, please contact us.
Is my information secure using this site?
Do your products run true to size?
Each dress is made differently so it is best to check the size chart on the dress page that you are looking at for accurate sizing information.
How do I tell if a dress is available?
Unfortunately, availability changes by the minute and we are unable to know availability on your dress until you place an order. Once your order is placed, we will either pull your dress from our inventory or a Leather Direct employee will call the designer directly to order your dress. We will contact you ASAP to let you know when we can have this dress for you.
Where can I find the size chart?
Size charts vary for individual products and can be found by clicking the “Size Guide” link
Do you ship outside the NZ?
We can take orders for almost anywhere in the world! Please purchase all items through our website, and be sure to list your correct billing address (incorrect billing addresses may result in cancelled orders). Extra shipping charges may apply. Please check our “Shipping Information” page.
What if my billing and shipping addresses are different?
If you have entered a billing address that does not match your credit card or a different billing and shipping address your order will go through our fraud prevention department and this will cause a delay with your order being processed.
How long will it take to get my package?
Most of the time, the dress you select will ship within 1 business day (in stock / not including weekends) and will arrive according to your shipping selection. However, there are some exceptions.
What is your return policy?
Leather Direct happily accepts returns/exchanges for store credit or refunds with some exceptions. For all questions regarding returns or exchanges, please visit our “Why shop with Leather Direct” page. Please be sure to read this page carefully before placing an order with Leather Direct.
